Since 2012, "Crossover Forum" has been successfully held for eight years in succession. The forum contributed to promoting the interactive integration of universities and cities, engineering and culture, creativity and heritage, and heritage and sustainable development. It serves as a bridge between Wuhan and international experts, and becomes a driving force for Wuhan to apply for the UNESCO City of Design and for the Great Tea Route to apply for World Heritage. The Crossover Forum has become a cultural representative of Wuhan.
The 9th Crossover Forum is held in 2020. Although COVID-19 has brought unprecedented setbacks to globalization, we will still move forward hand in hand. The forum this year is themed on “Shared Heritage: the Power of Culture, the Voice of Heritage”, exploring the important role of cultural heritage at the present and in the future. Since COVID-19 continues to spread around the world, the 9th Crossover Forum is held both in Wuhan and online.
